          APPENDIX 3 (CLASS III  WATER) TO ANNEX D (SUPPLY) TO 1ST COSCOM
          OPERATION ORDER DESERT STORM
          1. 14) PURPOSE: To outline bulk class Tir WATER support for
          operation Desert Storm.

          2. (U) GENERAL:

               a.        Unit distribution to d@ivisiong will be through
          preplanned push packages to the DSA by forecasts in the LOOSTAT.
          Nondivisional units will use supply point distribution and limited
          unit distribution.

               b.        PHASE 11: CSOs provide retail water support along
          Tapline Road in their respective LogbaseglAOs. CSGG will provide
          limited unit distribution as water production and distribution
          system matures.

               C.  OK PHASE III: CSOG provide water support (unit
          distribution) to their aligned divisions and accompanying
          nondivisional units. CSGs establish forward bulk water production
          and distribution supply points.

          3. (U) CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS:


               &. (U)    ALL CSGS:

                   (1)       Deploy with all water production and storage
          equipment.

                   (2)   4e  Stock and deploy with 30 days supply of ROWPU
          chemicals and  repair parts. including NBC filter cartridges.

                   (3)   (JM Provide bulk water distribution using organic
          assets.

                   (4)       Establish bulk water production. storage. and
          distribution points at designated logbase areas. These sites will
          include the capability to fill 250/500 gallon collapsible drums
          and perform sling load operations. Each production site will
          establish a raw water line as a non-potable source for
          construction/engineer Support.
                   (5) (,d) Increase chlorine level to ten (10) parts per
          million (ppm) at Phase II D+l.

                   (6) L16 Ensure all raw sources are checked for
allation and operation of water
          production equipment (ROWPUs). Immediately report any form of
          contamination through both the CMUC/G-3 channels. Mark
          contaminated water sources very visibly.

                   (7)       Receive preventive medicine (PM) teams from 44th
          MED BDR. Declassified on 18 Apr 1996 per SEC Y (D H) tT SEC 3.5 (a) EO 12958
