           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: TRANSPORTATION: DEPARTURE CONTROL UNITS
            (DCU)


           5. (U) OBSERVATION: Lack of C).i-talified Movement Personnel.


           6. (U) DISCUSSION: Early on it was realiz6d that qualified
           movement personnel were not available locally. A telephone   call
           to MTMC (Western and Eastern Area) revealed that DCU's were
           recently activated and Could assist in division movement.  A
           telephone call +ram this office arranged their arrivrl, pickup,
           POC's and their departure. DCU's are a vital source a+
           experienced personnel and a welcome addition to any
           Transportation staff.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED, DCU's are available and should be
           utilized early on.

           S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Bring DCU's in early on all movement
           if they are available.
