          2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/06/91.

          CRIT3 (IMPORTANT PROBLEM).

          4. (U) TITLE- Logistics: DOL/IPECO: InSLt+ficent Vehicle Support

          5. (u) OBSERVATION: Insufficient vehicle support was requested
          to conduct many additional tasks performed Such as providing an
          escort for contractors, vendors, and others.

          6. (Lt) DISCUSSION, In addition to five inventory teams,
          additional vehicles were required -For small loads, linen pic@-:-Ltp
          and escort services.


          7. (u) LESSON LEARNED: To adequately carry out IPECO's mission
          additional vehicles need to be secured through contract or other
          means.


          S. Zu) RECOMMENDED ACTION: As a minimum request the following
          vehicles:
              A. One passenger van for each inventory team.
              B. One cargo van or sedan'for quality control supervisor.
              C. One large truck (5-ton) -for PiC[,Ltp/delivery of linen and
          maintenance items.
              D. Two or three passenger vehicles +or escorts.
              E. Utility truck -for small loads.
