           2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/06/91.

           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: PRE-ATRFLOW MEETING & DACS INFORMATION
           PACKET

           5. (U) OBSERVATION: Conducting pre-air+low meetings with unit
           commanders and movement officers paid tremendous dividends when
           it came time to deploy.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: We found it most successful to distribute
           information packets with as much information about the DACS
           process as possible, and then conduct the pre-airflow meetings
           as a question and answer session'. We also found that inviting
           brigade XOs, movement officers, and staff led to the most
           efficient dissemination of information.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: Pre-air+low meeting with unit/sta+4
           personnel alleviated problems/qLtestions prior to actual unit
           movement.

           S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: As early as possible, assemble a
           DACG information packet and distribute it to all unit commanders
           on the installation. Periodically update the packet and
           distribute changes.
