          2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on (@2/06/91.

          3. (U) @..'EYWORDS- RWO (REAL WORLD OPS), USA (US ARMY), ACTIVE
          COMPONENT, LOGISTICS, TRANSPORTATION, AIRLIFT, FAVORABLE,
          SUPPORTABILITY, INTEROPERABILITY, TRAINING.

          4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: Outstanding Support from the Fort Riley
          TMP

          5. (U) OBSERVATION: Outstanding support of DACG operations by
          the Fort Riley TMP.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: Within the DOL, Transportation Division, the
          Transportation Motor Pool (TMP), under the direction of Mr.
          George Allen, provided tremendous Support both in resources and
          reaction time. The TMP came an board with the DACG mission
          quickly, and fully Supported all of the requests submitted by
          the Deployment Control Unit representatives assigned to oversee
          the deployment of the Big Red One. The TMP support continued
          unwavering throughout the exercise, and was available on
          extremely short notice during the deployment of several small
          Reserve Component units which deployed Lip to a month after- the
          last divisional unit left Fort Riley.

          7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: TMP support is critical to the DACG
          operation.

          S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Stress to all other posts preparing
          to deploy forces that solid TMP support +ram the very beginning
          is critical to the overall success of the DACG mission.
