          4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: STAFF INTERACTION AND COOPERATION

          5. (U) OBSERVATION.- The combined efforts of the U.S. Army
          Garrison staff, Ist Infantry Division (Mech), 63 and G4 staffs,
          and the..lst DMMC enabled 16 separate force modernization
          equipment systems to be fielded to deploying units at Fort
          Riley.

          6. (U) DISCUSSION: The professionalism, @.-:nowledge and ability
          to operate as an integrated staff allowed the separate staff
          agencies to jointly plan and execute the very complex and
          resource demanding fielding of over 4,000 equipment end items in
          a 4-month period.

          7. (U) LESSON LEARNED-


             A. Ist DMMC and 64 -staffs contributed invaluable efforts by
          identifying equipment requirements and also planning and
          coordinating disposition of displaced equipment.

             B. The Directorate of Logistics (DOL) provided diverse
          Support in many logistical areas. DOL provided critical
          maintenance, facility, supply, and personnel support for each
          materiel fielding team. DOL also provided facility, personnel
          and maintenance support +or displaced equipment operations.

             C. Guidance and command support provided by the G3/DPTM
          staff ensured proper -FOCLKS and priorities were maintained for
          each -fielding.

OMMENDED ACTION: The Garrison and Division sta-F+s are
          to be commended for their extraordinary performance and
          Cooperative achievement.
