           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: UPECO: Buildings Insecure

           S. (U) OBSERVATION: Unit/building maintenance deficiencies
           prevented proper securing of facilities.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: During securing of unit buildings, several
           buildings could not be properly secured due to broken windows,
           hasps, and doors. These deficiences were also noted during
           UPECO pre-chec@,s but were never corrected prior to actual
           inventories.


           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: Commanders must ensure facilities are
           maintained on a day-to-day basis to avoid exessive problems
           during deployment preparations.

           e. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Units coordinate with DEH to have
           windows and doors repaired prior to deployment notification. DEH
           should give priority to these work orders to ensure repairs are
           done prior to unit's deployment.
