           5. (U) OBSERVATION: Special vehicles and helicopters should be
loaded by the assigned drivers and crew to prevent equipment
           damage.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: The 34th Engineer personnel were required to
drive all of the vehicles onto the aircraft. This is no problem
for normal military vehicles, however, fire engines, equip vans,
and vehicles that have peculiarities about them, should be
loaded by operators that are familiar with the equipment to
           avoid aircraft damage.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED.: Planning for loading special vehicles or
aircraft by the operators should be incorporated into the plan.

           B. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Vehicle operators be POM'D f'irst and
sent forward to arrive at least one hour prior to aircraft
arrival. This may involve starting the POM early, but for
.special equipment operators it should be done.
